Events

This fellowship involves a series of events and activities, including a public workshop, an academic symposium and an artist commission. Further details will be posted here as they are finalised.

10th May 2019: Solway Romanticisms at the University of Glasgow.  This one-day, interdisciplinary symposium invites new perspectives on the imaginative geography of the Solway. Pairing scholars working on both sides of the Solway Firth, it seeks to address questions of similarity and dissimilarity, of parochialism and glocalism, while putting pressure on a central conundrum at the heart of the spatial humanities: how and when does text explain place?

22nd February 2018: Beyond Burns evening at The Stove, Dumfries. Featuring a talk from Dr McKeever on Romantic D&G alongside readings from poets Hugh Macmillan, Stuart A. Paterson and Liz Niven, followed by a creative writing workshop. See blog here.
